Lessons
“Alyssa is a fabulous fiddle teacher. Her vast experience and her musical passion shine through in her lessons which are thoughtful, engaging and fun. She listens well and incorporates your preferences and any goals you may have. She is great at both showing and explaining her feedback for you. I had been playing for about a year when I first met Alyssa and my playing improved tremendously in a short time.”

Lesson Cancellation Policy
Effective April 1, 2023: Alyssa values your time and her time, and reserves a weekly or bi-weekly lesson time in her teaching schedule for each student. Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours before the lesson time are subject to full lesson payment, due electronically at the scheduled time of the lesson. Exceptions include medical emergencies or personal/family emergencies. When students are sick, they are requested to contact Alyssa and request an online lesson during their original lesson time, or a makeup lesson can be scheduled at a mutually convenient time if her schedule allows. Alyssa teaches up to 30 students a week in addition to her performance schedule, and wants all of her students to get the most out of studying the violin, fiddle and nyckelharpa. When lessons are rescheduled sooner than 24 hours in advance, Alyssa can use cancelled lesson time to teach other students who require makeup lessons and schedule other paid work during that time such as music performances. Thank you for understanding and Alyssa wishes you the best of luck on your music journey!
